"Zofja" was only 15 years old when she crossed the ocean from Poland to America. She traveled alone and listed her mother, Marja, as her contact in Poland. Her contact in America was not her father, but the Polish American Orphan's Association at 953 Third Avenue, New York. Her "occupation or calling" is listed as housekeeper and she was able to read, write, and speak Polish. Her town is listed as Borowina, her mother living in Borowina, pow. Niski, Malopolska. Her destination was New York.
