This shows the William Parsons' family for their first U.S. census taking, having only been in the states several months. Laura was only 8 months old (line 26 on census). Her father, William was working "at pottery" while her mother, Mary, stayed at home to care for Laura and her siblings: Fred, 5; Mary, 3; and Elizabeth 2.
