1. Family data, Cipriano Caraccioli Family Bible; original owned by Barbara McNamara. Believed to have belonged originally to the Gordon Family, inherited by Mariah (Gordon) Caraccioli, to Mariah & Cipriano's daughter Caroline Caraccioli, to her nephew Louis Napoleon Caraccioli, to his daughter Mabel (Caraccioli) Perkins, to her sister-in-law Mary (Sheridan) Caraccioli, to her daughter Barbara (Caraccioli) McNamara.

2. Cipriano Caraccioli will (1849), Middlesex County, Surrogate's Office, Woodbridge, New Jersey. The following is transcribed from the will of Cipriano Caraccioli regarding Mariah:

Item."I give & bequeath all my property both real & personal of every kind & description whatever unto my beloved wife Maria Gordon Caraccioli during her natural life to be used by her for her comfort & support and for the comfort & support of such of my children hereinafter named as shall remain at home with their mother aiding and assisting her in performing the labors necessary to be performed on the real estate hereby bequeathed to her-- said property to be used in such way as she in her judgement shall think best."
Item. "If my said wife should marry again or die in the life time of my said children herein after mentioned then in that case it is my will and I do hereby order that the whole of my property both real & personal be divided among my three children, Peter, Caroline, and Napoleon in the following manner. That is to say one fourth thereof to Peter, one fourth thereof to Caroline and the remaining two fourths to Napoleon."
Item. "I do hereby empower my Executor or my said wife individually in case they or she should at any time of opinion that her necessities or circumstances or the necessities or circumstances of my children require it, to sell all my said property and in that case I do order the proceeds of said sale to be divided among my three children in the manner before mentioned reserving to my said wife the use of the one third part thereof for her own separate use and benefit so long as she lives."

3. Mary Caraccioli household, 1860 U.S. census, Middlesex County, New Jersey. Woodbridge Township, Woodbridge post office, page 39, dwelling 258, family 294.
In 1860, Mary Caraccioli (57) was living in Woodbridge with her daughter Caroline (27) and her son Napoleon (15). Caroline was working as a dressmaker.

4. Napoleon Caraccioli household, 1880 U.S. census, Middlesex County, New Jersey, population schedule, Woodbridge Township, enumeration district [ED] 134, supervisor's district [SD] 2, page 39, dwelling 321, family 376. Family Search microfilm no. 1254790, T9-0790, page no. 322C.

By 1880, Mary was 79 years old and living with her widowed son, Napoleon, and his family along with her daughter, Caroline.
